Chuck Bartowski is a socially awkward twenty-something who works as a computer expert at the Nerd Herd at his local Buy More (a parody of Best Buy's Geek Squad), a local electronics retailer (a CompUSA store was used), with his best friend, Morgan Grimes. Chuck's sister Ellie is a doctor who is constantly looking out for his best interests and wants to help him find a girlfriend. On the night of his birthday party, Chuck receives an e-mail from his former Stanford University roommate, Bryce Larkin, who is now a "rogue" CIA agent. When he opens it, an entire server of sensitive data — once only available to the United States government — is subliminally embedded into his brain by way of a long series of images. Both the National Security Agency and the Central Intelligence Agency want the intelligence returned to them and dispatch agents of their own — Major John Casey and Sarah Walker — to retrieve that data.

Since the disk with the government information was stolen by Bryce and destroyed in his attempted escape, and since Chuck experiences flashes of information from the database activated by certain subliminal triggers, he must use the knowledge he now possesses to help the government thwart assassins and international terrorists — upending his previously uneventful life. Chuck's decision to keep his new-found occupation a secret from his family and friends and to live his life as normally as possible forces Casey and Walker to establish an uneasy alliance and secret identities (Walker poses as Chuck's girlfriend and takes a cover job at a local restaurant, Wienerlicious, while Casey gets a job at Buy More), with the shared goal of protecting Chuck at all costs.

Klingt wirklich gut, werd sie mir als US-DVD im September bestellen.

Heute kam nun endlich die Staffel. Von der Box her ist es bis her die beste von der Verarbeitung. Ist mal was neues vom Verschluss her.

Hab jetzt die ersten 8 Folgen von 13 gesehen und bin voll begeistert von der Serie. Ich würd sogar sagen es ist die beste Josh Schwartz Produktion aller Zeiten. Besser als The O.C. und Gossip Girl.

Ich hab seit King Of Queens nicht mehr soviel gelacht. Momentan läuft ja die zweite Staffel in den USA. Laut Internet auch sehr erfolgreich als opening für Heroes. Freu mich schon wenn diese auf DVD erscheint.

Ich hab jetzt eine neue lieblings Serie und die heißt Chuck

Das drittplatzierte Network NBC hat weiter mit starken Zuschauereinbußen zu kämpfen. Vorjahresstarter «Chuck» kann in dieser Season scheinbar nicht überzeugen und kam auch in dieser Woche nur auf enttäuschende 5,89 Millionen Zuschauer. (quotenmeter.de)

Also 5.9 Mio Zuschauer sind alles andere als erfolgreich! biggrin

Gestern hab ich die erste Staffel beendet! Und ich muss sagen einfach geil die Serie. Ich fieber echt jede Folge mit,...

Ich hoffe so sehr das es nicht mehr lange dauert bis die zweite Staffel von Chuck auf DVD erscheint! Werd mir bald noch die Blu-Ray kaufen.

Hoff die Serie wird es noch längere Zeit geben. Nach KOQ die beste Comedy die ich seit langem gesehen habe

Jetzt oute ich mich auch mal. Finde die Serie fantastisch.

Es ist alles drin, was ich gerne seh. Komödie, Liebe & Action.

Besonders die "Beziehung" zwischen Chuck & Sarah find ich Super.

Und an den Schauspielern hab ich bis jetzt auch noch nichts auszusetzen.
