Olivia Munn is featured on the cover of "Complex" magazine's April/May issue and she talks about how she got a completely new role in Iron Man 2. Here's an excerpt from the interview:
You're in two gigantic movies this year. Let's talk about Iron Man 2 first because it's f*cking Iron Man 2.
Olivia Munn: Actually, they just gave me another role in the film. I had to reshoot all of my scenes.
Wait, didn't they start filming like last year or something?
Olivia Munn: Yeah, but as they started to edit they realized it was becoming darker than what they'd expected and what my scenes had allowed for. My parts were lighthearted and comedic.
Yikes.
Olivia Munn: Jon Favreau called and was like, "I've got good news and bad news: This is what's happening in editing but we all really like you." Marvel and Jon had to add another character from the Marvel universe to keep me included.
I need details! Tell us anything about the old or new role.
Olivia Munn: I can't talk specifics because it's Iron Man 2! But when they call, you say, "OK, I'm there. What do you need?" You don't say, "Who is this Marvel? Did you call my agent? Is FIJI Water on set?" Everyone knows who the stars are in this movie. I'm not one of them and I understand the editing process. Some things don't work out.
What if you'd stayed on the cutting room floor?
Olivia Munn: I would've started crying.

Iron Man 2 Reaches $327.6 Million Worldwide
Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios' Iron Man 2 debuted to an estimated $133.6 million in a record 4,380 North American theaters this weekend - an average of $30,502 per theater. The opening marks the fifth-highest of all time domestically, surpassing Shrek the Third's $121.6 million and is the second-best opening ever for a film in May, trailing only Spider-Man 3's $151.1 million. On Friday, the Jon Favreau-directed sequel took in $52.3 million, which marks the seventh-best opening day, surpassing the $50 million earned by Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith. Of the total, $10.2 million came from IMAX theaters, a new record for an IMAX 2D release, passing up the $8.5 million debut of Star Trek last year. The original Iron Man opened to $98.6 million domestically in 2008 and went on to earn $318.4 million in North America.
Internationally, Iron Man 2 added $57.2 million this weekend to take its overseas total to $194 million. The film has earned $327.6 million worldwide since it began rolling out on April 28th. The original Iron Man collected $266.7 million internationally and made $585.1 million worldwide.
Starring Robert Downey Jr., Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Jon Favreau, Mickey Rourke, Sam Rockwell, Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson, Garry Shandling, John Slattery and Clark Gregg, the sequel cost between $170 million and $180 million to make.

War am Wochenende im Film. Ich fand in recht gut obwohl ich sagen muss das mir der erste besser gefallen hat. Es sind wie im ersten Teil wieder eine Menge guter Gags eingebaut und die ein oder andere Anspielung z.B.
Tja was soll man zum Bösewicht sagen? Mickey Rourk als "Peitschenmann", Gott sieht der Mann krass aus!
Ich würde dem Film 7 von 10 Punkten geben. |

Kann mich attic eigentlich nur anschließen, würde auch 7 von 10 Punkten vergeben. Mickey Rourke als Bösewicht klaute oftmals sogar Robert Downey Jr. die Show. Mir war es allerdings ein wenig mit den Charakteren um Nick Fury herum zuviel. Dadurch ging die eigentliche Story des Films stellenweise unter. |
