Hab mir den Trailer gerade mal angesehen. Der Trailer ist nicht schlecht gemacht,
nur hätte man echt andere Musik nehmen sollen. Passt irgendwie garnicht dazu.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM) and United Artists announced today they are moving the release date of Bryan Singer's World War II thriller Valkyrie, starring Tom Cruise, from October 3, 2008 to President's Day Weekend February 13, 2009.
Currently also scheduled for the new date are Confessions of a Shopaholic and Friday the 13th.
"MGM is proud and excited to be presenting 'Valkyrie,' and because of that we want to give it the best launch possible," said Clark Woods, President of Domestic Distribution of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, which is distributing the movie domestically. "When an opening became available for President's Day Weekend, we seized the opportunity. Having seen a lot of the film and how great it is going to play once it's finished, moving into a big holiday weekend is the right move."
We assume Woods is talking about The Wolfman, which was just moved from February 13, 2009 to April 3, 2009.
"'Valkyrie' is shaping up to be a phenomenal movie," said Dennis Rice, President of Worldwide Marketing and Publicity for United Artists, which made the movie. "We're delighted that MGM has agreed to hold the release until the very strong holiday weekend."
Bringing a fresh and surprise-filled take to a world people only thought they knew, Bryan Singer (The Usual Suspects, X-Men, Superman Returns) re-teams with his Academy Award®-winning "Usual Suspects" screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie on Valkyrie, a suspense thriller based on the true story of the daring and ingenious plot to assassinate the most monstrous villain the world has ever known. Tom Cruise heads an internationally acclaimed ensemble that includes Kenneth Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Eddie Izzard, Christian Berkel, Thomas Kretschmann, Terrance Stamp and acclaimed stage actress Carice Van Houten.

kann ich mir beim besten willen nicht vorstellen
der film hat mit deutschland zu tun, wurde in deutschland gedreht, ist ein ziemlich vielversprechender film und soll nicht nach deutschland kommen ?? |

Although the film has yet to be completed, several people I trust have seen "Valkyrie" and testify that it's a superb thriller. "Bryan Singer is back in form," says one source, referring to the "Valkyrie" director whose last film was "Superman Returns." Cruise will be shooting three scenes in North Africa within the next three weeks. In one, his character, Col. Claus Von Stauffenberg, is badly injured but survives, a key moment in the film's first act.
Valkyrie is scheduled for a release on February 13, 2009.

Es sieht schlecht aus für den Stauffenberg-Film "Valkyrie". Die Produktion hat sogar das Oscar-Rennen selbst aufgegeben. WELT ONLINE kennt das Drehbuch und hat bei Beteiligten nachgefragt. Tom Cruise als Star ist schlecht, vieles wirkt albern und langweilig. Und dann ist da noch ein Glasauge im Whiskyglas. *WEITER* |

Wie ihr am Threadtitel erkennen könnt hat Valkyrie einen deutschen Titel
bekommen. Und in den USA startet er nun bereits am 26. Dezember 2008!

Am Abend des 22. Feburars werden nicht nur zum 81. Mal die Academy Awards verliehen, sondern auch die «Razzies», die sogenannten Anti-Oscars für die schlechtesten filmischen Leistungen des vergangenen Jahres. Noch sind die Nominierungen für die diesjährigen Anwärter der «Goldenen Himbeere» nicht veröffentlicht worden, jedoch warten die Online-Auftritte von «MTV», «Defamer» und Co schon mal mit ein paar heißen Tipps auf.
Als Top-Favorit in der Kategorie schlechtester Schauspieler gilt dabei Tom Cruise mit seinem Stauffenberg-Drama «Operation Walküre». Entgegen beinahe durchweg schlechter Kritiken hat das Weltkriegsdrma in den USA übrigens bereits 60 Millionen Dollar eingespielt. Außerdem im Rennen um den Titel schlechtester Schauspieler befinden sich Keanu Reeves mit seinem Sci-Fi-Remake «Der Tag, an dem die Erde stillstand» sowie Mark Wahlberg mit «The Happening».
Das lahme Horror-B-Movie von Grusel-Spezialist M. Night Shyamalan gilt auch als heißer Favorit um den Titel schlechtester Film. Daneben konkurrieren «Speed Racer» von den Wachowski-Brüdern, Disneys «High School Musical 3», die «300»-Parodie «Meet The Spartans» und Paris Hiltons Klamauk «The Hottie + The Nottie» um die wenig ruhmreiche Ehrung. Hilton könnte auch gleich den Anti-Preis als schlechteste Schauspielerin mit nach Hause nehmen. Diese Schmach droht außerdem Jessica Alba, Reese Witherspoon und Diane Keaton.
Die tatsächlichen Nominierungen für die «Goldenen Himbeeren» werden am 21. Januar bekannt gegeben.

Ich war neulich im Film und verstehe die schlechten Kritiken nicht. Ich fand den Film gut gemacht und von den Schauspielern gut gespielt, v.a. von Tom Cruise. |

Hab ihn mir heute auch angesehen, fand ihn ebenfalls sehr gut gemacht & vorallem spannend erzählt. Den Cruise konnte ich die Rolle während des gesamten Filmes allerdings nie voll abnehmen, hätte zudem mehr Patriotismus (der große Held!) erwartet. Gott sei Dank wurde ich eines besseren belehrt. Empfehlung! |
