Scream 4 Coming to Theaters April 12, 2011
Dimension Films has given the green light to Scream 4, which will start shooting this spring for a release on April 12, 2011 (a Tuesday interestingly). The third installment of the franchise was released on February 4, 2000.
Wes Craven will direct and Neve Campbell, David Arquette and Courteney Cox Arquette will reprise their roles along with a group of younger actors.
"'Scream' has been such an integral part of Dimension's history, and I look forward to continuing the franchise," said Dimension Films chief Bob Weinstein, who is also co-chairman of The Weinstein Company.

Häää wie wollen die das denn machen! Weiß das schon ne Weile aber frage mich gerade worum der Film gehen soll! 3 war zwar so lustig aber vollkommen inhaltslos! Und ja ich weiß es geht nur um umbringen! Und ja geil Neeve Campell muss neu synchronisiert werden da ihre alte Stimme im letzten Jahr verstorben ist! Und der Film ist noch nciht mal abgedreht und ich rege mich auf...werde ihn trotzdem sehen allein schon für diesen Satz:
"HALLO SIDNEY!" |

Adopting the same tagline we saw on the AFM teaser poster, the official teaser poster for Scream 4 has made its debut touting the April 15, 2011 release date. It's direct and in your face, no doubt. What do you think?
Director Wes Craven begins shooting the sequel this June in Michigan with a script by Kevin Williamson and returning cast members Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette.
Craven tells EW of the story:
"There have been 10 years of no Ghostface, but there has been the movie-within-a-movie Stab. We have fun with the idea of endless sequels, or "sequelitis" as Kevin calls it in the script. Sid goes through these three horrendous things, and Stab was based on those horrible things. And then they've been taken by a studio and run into the ground in a series of sequels. She has been off by herself and living her own life, and she's even written a book that has gotten a lot of critical acclaim. She's kind of put her life back together in the course of these 10 years. But, certainly, there would be no Scream without Ghostface, so she has to confront him again, but now as a woman who has really come out the darkness of her past."
He also confirms he has "signed on for the duration" of parts five and six!

Wes Craven and the Dimension Films team have started reaching out to young talent to join the cast of Scream 4.Twilight’s Ashley Greene, Heroes’ Hayden Panettiere and Rory Culkin have all been offered roles, while Lake Bell is already in negotiations.
If they all sign, they’ll be joining returning regular stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette, who are ready to show up, albeit in a slightly more limited capacity as they pass the torch on to the new cast.
Greene is wanted to play Jill, Campbell’s cousin and the heroine of the piece, while Panettiere would be her best pal, a big film nerd (always a requirement for the terminally self-aware slasher series). Culkin, meanwhile is being lined up as a guy competing for Greene’s love.
Bell, last seen in It’s Complicated, is likely to appear as a police officer that has a history with Campbell’s Sidney Prescott.
Director Craven and writer Kevin Williamson are apparently trying to keep the new script’s secrets away from the prying eyes of the Magical Internet and part of the secrecy involves only giving actors and their agents the most basic character descriptions, according to the Heat Vision Blog.
The shoot is planned to kick off this July in Michigan, which has apparently offered up some killer tax incentives.

Details are scarce, but USA Today (via ShockTillYouDrop.com) is reporting on two cameos you can expect in Scream 4.
According to the paper's Cindy Clark, Kristen Bell and "True Blood's" Anna Paquin have roles in the sequel, still shooting in Michigan under the direction of Wes Craven.
Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Emma Roberts, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, Nico Tortorella, Anthony Anderson and Marielle Jaffe star in the next entry opening on April 15, 2011.

Hab ihn heute gesehen! War cool mal wieder eiben Filmzu sehen, wo die Opfer nicht zu Tode gefoltert werden! Vor allem war der Anfang echt cool! Und irgendwie schien der sehr auf Emna Roberts zugeschrieben! |
