According to Terminator 3 director Jonathan Mostow, the film will follow in its predecessors' footsteps with a series of progressively more impressive DVD releases before a final 'Ultimate Edition.'
Talking to Empire, Mostow explained his decision as one prompted by the wish to produce the best DVD possible rather than, as it first seems, an attempt to milk the cash cow for all it's worth. "To make it a truly first-class DVD, with the levels of complexity that are on the T2 Ultimate Edition, takes a long time. You can't get it ready in the few months we have before [the first DVD release] has to be done."
Mostow has really put the effort in, drafting key members of the T3 production to talk about elements of production not usually touched upon, "really specific, cool, nuts and bolts stuff." The director is also squeezing in a number of interesting featurettes explaining why, among other things, all the Terminators look and sound like a certain Austrian bodybuilder. The first DVD release may not be 'ultimate' but it sounds like a must have to us.

Columbia wird am 28. November in England "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" auf DVD veröffentlichen. Damit erscheint die britische DVD rund 14 Tage nach dem US-Release von Warner. Although Chad "The Storm" Campbell wrote TAFs with a dozen or so scenes that may have been filmed but later deleted from T3, we now wonder if there will only be ONE deleted scene to access on this November DVD release. Candy scene" as a deleted scene.

...I'm afraid no one else knows anymore about it at the moment. I'm guessing that there could just be the one scene though. Afterall, the press release says 'Revealing New Footage' rather than 'Deleted Scenes' which is probably just a cunning way of saying there's only one scene. Wahrscheinlich brauchts noch 3 weitere DVD-Editions (SE, UE und sonstwas), bis wir wirklich alle deleted scenes zu sehen kriegen *nerv*. |

I pretty much gather this is ALL extra media which will be on the T3 DVD this November. To be honest, it doesn't look nice. The Featurettes all combined are just barely an hour. I'm pretty sure they could easily fit all this stuff onto 1 disc instead of two. Sounds like another marketing ploy.
REMEMBER - The runtime of the main feature is in the PAL format. The film has NOT been cut. |

Natürlich auf DVD: Neben der üblichen Fassung, die im Herbst erscheint sei mindestens noch mit einer "Ultimate Edition" in rund einem Jahr zu rechnen.
