Fußball-EM 2016 in Frankreich

Frankreich ist Gastgeber der Fußball- Europameisterschaft 2016. Der EM-Champion
von 1984 und 2002 bekam in Genf den Zuschlag. Das Exekutivkomitee der Europä-
ischen Fußball-Union UEFA um DFB-Präsident Theo Zwanziger gab den Franzosen
den Vorzug vor den Bewerbern aus Italien und der Türkei. Frankreich hatte bisher
die WM 1938 und 1998 ausgerichtet. EM-Gastgeber war man im Jahr 1960 und 1984.
