USA Today has broken the news that director Christopher Nolan will shoot four action scenes for The Dark Knight in IMAX format. Here's a clip:
Nolan will shoot four action sequences — including the introduction of the Joker, played by Heath Ledger — on IMAX.
The move is one of Hollywood's most pronounced steps yet in its embrace of IMAX theaters, which are increasingly showing commercial fare on their giant screens.
"There's simply nothing like seeing a movie that way," Nolan says. "It's more immersive for the audience. I wish I could shoot the entire thing this way."
For Nolan, IMAX makes the moviegoing experience unique again.
"You can't do this on any home theater," Nolan says. "Batman has some of the most extraordinary characters in pop culture. We wanted the Joker to have the grandest entrance possible.

Also ich muss sagen, dass ich dieses Batman-Outfits ziemlich rückschrittlich finde (genau wie schon bei "Batman Begins"). Die Design-Elemente sind mir viel zu kantig. Die Kostüme in den (inhaltlich zwar schwachen) Blockbustern von 1995 und 1997 sahen meiner Meinung nach viel cooler aus! |

Und wenn das Ding noch 'ne handliche Fernbedienung bekommt, dann heißt's wohl Bad-iPod. 
Warum konnten die nicht einfach ein richtiges (aerodynamisches) Motorrad bauen. Dieses Ding wirkt irgendwie ziemlich klobig und extrem unelegant.  |

Ich find auch, dass das Kostüm was her macht. Muskulös sieht Bale auf jedenfall drin aus
@ BatPod: Das ist eher ein Rückschritt... sein Tumbler im 2. Teil sah um einiges geiler aus

"Spawn" in The Dark Knight
MTV hat bestätigt, dass der "Spawn" Darsteller Michael Jai White eine Rolle im Batman Begins Sequel, welches gerade in Chicago gedreht wird, übernimmt. White wird dabei in die Rolle von Gamble schlüpfen. |

Batman wird sich in seinem nächsten Film The Dark Knight wohl wieder mit mehreren Bösewichtern rumschlagen müssen. Denn neben dem Joker spielt auch Two-Face eine Rolle. Harvey-Dent-Darsteller Aaron Eckhart verkündete in einem Interview mit mtv.com, dass er auch Two-Face in dem Film spielen wird. Es könnte natürlich sein, dass Two-Face nur ganz am Schluss als Teaser für den nächsten Film auftaucht, aber die Tatsache, dass Eckhart bereits jetzt darüber reden darf, deutet eigentlich mehr darauf hin, dass Two-Face eine größere Rolle spielen wird.

Hoffentlich "überbösewichtigieren" sie den Film nicht, wie es bei Spider-Man 3 der Fall war. Wir haben nun Joker, Scarecrow kommt auch wieder und dann noch Two-Face...wie heißt es so schön? Weniger ist manchmal mehr. |

I have seen The Dark Knight Teaser. I don't want to reveal everything...
It starts out with the WB logo gracing the screen, followed by the DC logo and the Legendary pictures logo. The screen goes black.
It opens back up as a commercial paid for by the friends of Harvey Dent. We are shown shots of him talking, making public speeches, and walking in a suit, while a deep voice comes on and talks about Harvey Dent. A generic politician commercial.
What seems to be halfway through the commercial, it is interrupted by static, and blacks out. Out of nowhere a crystal clear image comes onto the screen of a blacked out man with large windows behind him. The camera slowly zooms in on him. He's talking (about what I won't say) and as he finishes he begins laughing. Lightning strikes, lighting up his face, as the laughter grows more manic. Cut to black.
The Batman Begins (now The Dark Knight's bat) emblem is shown with the words The Dark Knight. Then it says Summer 2008 and has the website at the bottom.
What is said... is a surprise that I must keep for now. It gave me chills.

And that description gives us the chills! The Dark Knight opens in theaters on July 18, 2008.

Der Möchtegern-Batman
Es gibt einen falschen Batman, der durch Gotham Citys Straßen zieht und auf den die Cops ihre Aufmerksamkeit richten, da sie ihn für den echten Batman halten. Des weiteren gibt es eine Verbindung zur 'Batman Begins'-Szene, in der Bruce seinen 'Abschlusstest' hat und Henri Ducard unter der Gruppe von Ninjas suchen muss.
Das Batpod
Batmans Motorrad ist kein Bestandteil des Batmobils, wie lange Zeit vermutet wurde. Es ist ein weiteres Gadget von Lucius Fox. Das Batpod wird eine große Action-Sequenz im Film haben.
Two-Face
Seitdem Aaron Eckhart bestätigte, dass Harvey Dent und Two-Face in diesem Film vorkommen werden, spekulierte man, ab wann der Schurke ins Erscheinung tritt. Letztendlich wird Two-Face nur eine Szene zum Schluss von 'The Dark Knight' haben.
Rachel Dawes
Der Spruch des Jokers aus dem Trailer: "Ab heute Nacht werden Menschen sterben. Ich stehe zu meinem Wort," stammt aus einer großen Party-Szene, in der Rachel Dawes vom Joker entführt wird. Sie erzählt dem Joker, dass Bruce Wayne Batman ist. Es gibt jedoch eine Szene mit Batman und dem Joker, in der Bruce Wayne, Batman und Joker im gleichen Raum sind. Aufgrund essen denkt der Joker, Batman ist nicht Bruce Wayne und Rachel hätte ihn belogen. Rachel wird eine Affäre/Romanze mit einem Hauptcharakter haben. [Aus früheren Gerüchten kann man davon ausgehen, dass es sich hierbei um Harvey Dent handelt.]
Das große Finale
Einer der Hauptcharaktere stirbt. Wer es ist, wird nicht verraten. Jedoch soll das bereits veröffentlichte Promomaterial erkennen lassen, um wen es sich handelt. Wenn man einen messerscharfen Blick auf die 'Dark Knight' Bilder wirft, soll man den großen Hinweis entdecken können.
Am Ende findet ein großer Kampf statt, in dem Harvey sich rächen und den Joker töten will. Batman kann ihn allerdings davon abhalten, wodurch Harvey verrückt wird. Ab diesem Zeitpunkt stellt er sich gegen den dunklen Ritter.
Der Joker weiß, dass Bruce Batman ist, Harvey jedoch nicht.

Um ehrlich zu sein, ich weiß es nicht genau. Ich vermute das es sich um ein Fan Wallpaper handelt. Ist eben so eine Sache, auch das anfangs als offiziell erste, behauptete Wallpaper entpuppte sich ja letzendlich auch als die Arbeit eines Fans (siehe u.a. Superherohype Forum). |

Stuntexperte bei Batman-Dreh getötet
26.09.2007 Bei einem Autostunt für "Batman: The Dark Knight" kam ein Mann ums Leben.
Traurige Schlagzeilen gibt es von der Batman-Fortsetzung "The Dark Knight" zu vermelden:
Am vergangenen Montag wurde ein Stuntfachmann getötet, als er einen Autostunt auf der Rennstrecke von Surrey (GB) vorbereiten wollte.
Es kam zu dem tödlichen Unfall, als der Mann mit seinem Kamera-Wagen das Batmobil verfolgte und dabei die Kontrolle über seinen Wagen verlor. Er kam von der Fahrbahn ab und raste in einen Baum. Aufgrund der schweren Verletzungen starb der Familienvater noch vor Ort.
Schauspieler waren keine anwesend, da an diesem Tag keine Dreharbeiten stattfanden. |

Michael Caine hat Angst vor dem Joker
Erfreulich neues gibt es vom Set von The Dark Knight zu berichten. Michael Caine, der Butler Alfred im Film darstellt, hat sich hingesetzt und über die Dreharbeiten gesprochen. Und siehe da, seine Ausführungen lassen Cooles erhoffen.

Batman might cut a superhuman figure as he fights off evil-doers to save the world, but Hong Kong's polluted harbour is, apparently, one death-defying stunt too far. Producers shooting the next Batman movie have been forced to cut one scene involving the caped crusader -- played by Christian Bale -- jumping out of a plane into the city's famed Victoria Harbour.
According to the South China Morning Post, producers felt the poor water quality was just too dangerous for the action hero when shooting for part of the film takes place here in the coming week.
Citing two unidentified production sources, it said the stunt had now been taken off the shooting list for "The Dark Knight," the sequel to the 2005 hit "Batman Begins" and the latest in the blockbuster franchise.
"There was supposed to be a scene where Batman jumps out of the back of a Hercules C-130 and into Victoria Harbour," one source was quoted as saying.
"The plan was for Batman to be seen jumping into the water and then climbing up some bamboo, or something similar, onto a pier.
"But when they checked a water sample, they found all sorts of things, salmonella and tuberculosis, so it was cancelled. Now the action will cut to inside a building," the source added.
A spokeswoman for October Pictures, the Hong Kong production company which is managing the shoot, would not comment on the report.
A spokeswoman for Hong Kong's Environmental Protection Department admitted that harbour water was not suitable for swimming due to untreated sewage, the newspaper said.
More than 225,000 vessels arrive annually in Victoria Harbor, one of the world's busiest piers. Industrial and residential sewage has long polluted the port and environmentalists discourage swimming in its waters.
As well as poor water, Hong Kong also suffers from air pollution that on many days leaves the city clouded in haze, partly caused by local power plants and emissions from factories in the neighbouring Pearl River Delta region in southern China.
