MI6 has translated an interview with Bond 22 director Marc Forster from Swiss newspaper SonntagsZeitung in which he reveals principal photography begins this Thursday, January 3, 2008. He also says this one is about the journey into 007's inner-being:
"When Bond began in the Connery days, travel was a luxury not everyone could afford. Today, the world has become smaller. If Bond goes to a beach with palm trees it's almost banal now. The only interesting trip remains the journey inwards, deep in to the psyche".
In related news, The Times says filming will take place at U.K.'s Barbican (Spoilers ahead!):
At the Barbican, a sign has gone up giving warning that next week it will be the venue for the filming of a scene from the next James Bond film, current working title Bond 22, which again will star Daniel Craig. Relax, ladies, Craig won't be there, as far as I know; but in the Sculpture Court – so named, my informant tells me, because it was once meant to have contained sculpture but now doesn't – they will film a man talking on a mobile phone, the sign says.
Bond 22 is targeting a November 7, 2008 release.

"Quantum of Solace" continues the high octane adventures of James Bond (Daniel Craig) in "Casino Royale."
Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and M (Judi Dench) interrogate Mr White (Jesper Christensen) who reveals the organisation which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.
Forensic intelligence links an Mi6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where a case of mistaken identity introduces Bond to the beautiful but feisty Camille (Olga Kurylenko), a woman who has her own vendetta. Camille leads Bond straight to Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organisation.
On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano (Joaquin Cosio). Using his associates in the organisation, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land.
In a minefield of treachery, murder and deceit, Bond allies with old friends in a battle to uncover the truth. As he gets closer to finding the man responsible for the betrayal of Vesper, 007 must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organisation. |

Die forensische Abteilung des Geheimdienstes kann einen Mi6-Verräter mit einem Bankkonto in Haiti in Verbindung bringen. Aufgrund einer Verwechslung macht Bond dort die Bekanntschaft der schönen aber resoluten Camille (Olga Kurylenko), eine Frau, die ihre eigene Vendetta führt. Camille bringt Bond direkt zu Dominic Greene (Mathieu Amalric), einem rücksichtslosen Geschäftsmann und der treibenden Kraft innerhalb der mysteriösen Organisation.
Auf einer Mission, die ihn nach Österreich, Italien und Südamerika führt, findet Bond heraus, dass Greene ein Komplott schmiedet und versucht, die totale Kontrolle über eine der wichtigsten natürlichen Ressourcen der Welt zu gewinnen. Um das zu erreichen, drängt er auf einen Deal mit dem im Exil lebenden General Medrano (Joaquin Cosio). Indem Greene seine Partner in der Organisation benutzt und seine einflussreichen Kontakte bei der CIA und in der Britischen Regierung manipuliert, verspricht er, das gegenwärtige Regime eines lateinamerikanischen Staates zu stürzen und dem General die Macht zu übertragen – als Gegenleistung für ein scheinbar wertloses Stück Land.
Inmitten eines Minenfeldes aus Betrug, Mord und Täuschung, verbündet sich Bond mit alten Freunden, um die Wahrheit ans Licht zu bringen. Auf der Suche nach dem Mann, der für den Verrat an Vesper verantwortlich ist, muss 007 der CIA, den Terroristen und sogar M immer einen Schritt voraus sein, um Greenes dunkle Machenschaften aufzudecken und seine Organisation zu stoppen. |

Für Dienstagabend waren Aufnahmen in der Stadt Feldkirch im Bodensee-Hinterland geplant. Für die Szenen sollten ganze Straßenzüge im mittelalterlichen Zentrum der 30.000-Einwohner-Stadt gesperrt werden. Der 22. Bond-Streifen mit Daniel Craig in der Hauptrolle und dem Titel "Quantum of Solace" (Ein Quantum Trost) soll im November in die Kinos kommen.
An diesem Mittwoch gehen die Dreharbeiten in Bregenz weiter. Bis zum 9. Mai wird der britische Geheimagent 007 auf der Seebühne und im angrenzenden Festspielhaus direkt am Bodensee-Ufer vor der Kamera stehen. James Bond geht dabei in die Oper: Craig jagt seine Widersacher auch in den monumentalen Kulissen der Seebühne unter freiem Himmel. Für die Dreharbeiten haben die Bregenzer Festspiele lange vor Saisonbeginn am 23. Juli eine komplette Aufführung von Puccinis "Tosca" arrangiert. Das spektakuläre Bühnenbild zeigt ein überdimensionales Auge. |

Na auch wenns nur 10 Sec. waren sah das doch schon sehr viel versprechend aus.
Besser als Casino Royale wird der bestimmt .... ist ja eigentlich auch nicht so schwer.  |

Hört sich mal ein wenig ungewöhnlicher an, aber durchaus interessant. Könnte mir vorstellen, dass Amy Winehouse daraus einen richtig altmodischen Bondsong rausgemacht hätte, nunja.

Movie fans have branded the theme song for Quantum Of Solace the worst Bond theme ever.
The opening track for the hotly anticipated follow-up to Casino Royale, starring Daniel Craig, was unveiled on several British radio stations earlier this week (begs15Sep08).
But it has been mauled my fans and music critics alike.
Written by White Stripes frontman Jack White and singer Alicia Keys, the song, Another Way To Die, was blasted by one fan as sounding like a "shopping list" of violence.
Another said White and Keys' different singing styles "don't gel" on the track, while music critic Todd Martens added: "The first mistake was mimicking an iconic score with some electric guitars and modern effects, which is always, always, always a bad idea."
Even Oasis rocker Noel Gallagher waded into the row earlier this week - telling fans it was a "p**s-take" that a movie featuring the archetypal English spy was to be soundtracked by "a bunch of f**king Americans". |

Wenn die nicht alle so dem Suff und den Drogen verfallen wären, dann hätten es jemand von denen auch singen können. Naja, und Noel Gallagher zehrt auch nur noch von seinem Erfolg der letzten Jahre.
