Deutscher Kinostart bekannt
November 2008 in unsere Lichtspielhäuser kommen.

James Bond Abenteuer sollen Anfang nächsten Jahres beginnen.

Wäre eigentlich schade, denn Casino Royale war schon ein klasse Film, sehe also keine Grund wieso man den Regisseur wechseln sollte.

Marc Forster to Direct Bond 22
Filming stars this December at Pinewood Studios
Marc Forster will direct the 22nd James Bond adventure, it was announced today by Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, producers of the James Bond films, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios.
Forster is the acclaimed director of the highly anticipated motion picture The Kite Runner, adapted from Khaled Hosseini's best-selling novel. He also recently directed the comic hit Stranger Than Fiction for Sony Pictures. Previously, Forster directed the award-winning and critically acclaimed films Finding Neverland, which was nominated for seven Academy Awards® including Best Picture, and Monster's Ball, for which Halle Berry won a Best Actress Oscar®. Forster will commence work shortly with screenwriter Paul Haggis on a draft of the screenplay by Neil Purvis and Robert Wade.
Daniel Craig will reprise the role of James Bond in the as-yet-untitled Bond 22 production, which follows Casino Royale, the highest-grossing film so far in the most successful franchise in motion picture history. With nearly $600 million in worldwide box-office receipts, Casino Royale was also regarded by critics as one of the best Bond films yet. Bond 22 will begin filming at Pinewood Studios, London, in December 2007. Columbia Pictures will release the film worldwide on November 7, 2008.
Wilson and Broccoli said, "We are delighted that Marc Forster, with his exceptional talent and unique vision, has agreed to direct our next James Bond film." Forster said, "I have always been drawn to different kinds of stories and I have also always been a Bond fan, so it is very exciting to take on this challenge. The new direction that the Bond character has taken offers a director a host of new possibilities and I look forward to working with Daniel Craig, Barbara Broccoli, and Michael Wilson, as well as the team at Sony and MGM on this new film."
Amy Pascal, Co-Chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment, added, "We had a great experience working with Marc on 'Stranger than Fiction' and we are excited to be working with him again. He's an actor's director; he approaches material with intelligence and taste. What makes him the perfect choice for 'Bond 22' is that he will bring to this film all the elements Bond audiences expect -- action, humor, suspense, and thrills."
"The Bond franchise is one of MGM's most treasured legacies," added Harry Sloan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, MGM. "We share Michael and Barbara's confidence in Marc Forster's directing talents and support him in his efforts to continue the evolution of the Bond story for today's filmgoers."

First Bond 22 Set Photo
The first photo of Daniel Craig on the set of Bond 22 has been revealed. The Casino Royale star filmed scenes for the anticipated follow-up in Siena, Italy, in a balcony window overlooking the "Madonna dell'Assunta Palio di Siena" traditional horse race. A big tourist draw, the race pits 10 neighborhoods against each other, with horses and their jockeys often tumbling during the action.

Paul Haggis Talks Bond 22
Oscar winner Paul Haggis is returning to the Bond series to write the 22nd adventure of Agent 007, starring Daniel Craig with Marc Forster taking the reigns as director. For the time being, the movie is being referred to merely as Bond 22.
During press for his latest film In the Valley of Elah, Haggis mentioned that writing Bond is very rewarding. "Bond is just pure imagination; you just get to have fun. It's escapism and it's fun, but I try to ground him as a human being."
But he does say that his version of James Bond is different than the others. "My Bond is an actual assassin; when he kills someone, he kills them with a knife, they're bloody and he pays a price. He denies that he pays a price, but he does. When he sees a woman who witnesses something horrific, and he sees her taking a shower, he doesn't just go in there and f*ck her, like the old Bond would have done. He sits there with her, and she says, 'I can't get this blood from my fingernails.' So he helps her get the blood from her fingernails; that's what he does, that's my Bond. So it's a different guy; it's a guy who's much more like these guys, these heroes (in 'Valley of Elah')."
As for the storyline, Mr. Haggis wasn't giving anything up including any possible shooting or setting locations, however he would say, "It picks up 2 minutes after the last one, and it's going to be fun." He is sticking with the creation of Bond closer to the vision of author Ian Fleming, he said. "Yeah, I hope so because I really loved his books and his movies. That stuff was really close to his books, and most of them aren't." He disproved the rumor about Carice van Houten, star of Paul Verhoeven's Black Book, being in Bond 22 as one of the vixens. "She's great, isn't she – but she's not going to be in this one." He also added, "Everyone says they know what the ending is, and they're wrong. Everyone thinks they know about the Bond Girls, and they're wrong."
Bond 22 is scheduled to hit theatres on November 7, 2008.

The Minds Behind Bond 22 Talk
Variety has published a great article talking about the "James Bond" franchise, and in particular, Bond 22, which will again star Daniel Craig and will be directed by Marc Forster. While the crew and star stay mostly mum on the story details, some things are revealed.
The article says that filming will officially begin in December for a November 7, 2008 release. The 22nd installment will retain Casino Royale's trio of scriptwriters -- franchise veterans Neil Purvis and Robert Wade along with Oscar winner Paul Haggis (Crash, Million-Dollar Baby) -- who will fashion an original script that, according to EON head Barbara Broccoli, "will continue the path of Bond trying to find out who was behind the Le Chiffre operation. That's as much as we're going to say."
Haggis elaborated a little: "I can tell you it starts right where 'Casino' left off. Yes, Bond will be going after the organization that we hinted at."
"It will be the same Bond you saw in 'Casino,'" Haggis added, "a very human and flawed assassin, a man who has to navigate a morally complex and often cynical world while attempting to hold onto his deep beliefs of what is right and wrong."
Craig, speaking recently to the Chicago Sun-Times, echoes Haggis: "He also has to deal with revenge because he has lost the girl. Bond is still maybe too headstrong, and he doesn't make all of the right decisions."
As with "Casino," the absence of traditional supporting elements like gadget-master Q and Miss Moneypenny will continue: "Certainly, there may come a point where those beloved characters return, but," Broccoli said, "at the moment, they're not in 22."

Casino Royale Villain Back for Bond 22
Danish actor Jesper Christensen told TV2 (via MI6) that Mr. White, the boss of Le Chiffre in Casino Royale, will return in Bond 22. (Spoiler ahead!) The actor said that his character would endure 007's interrogation methods at the beginning of the film. So, as Paul Haggis said, the movie literally picks up 2 minutes later. The 22nd installment starts filming in December for a November 7, 2008 release.

Next Bond Girl a Latina Actress?
FilmJerk has learned who the producers of the next James Bond movie are looking at for the lead female role:
Producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson are looking for a Latina actress in her late twenties, preferably with South American roots.... she must be quite beautiful, able to handle what promises to be a physically demanding role, fluent in English and, last but most certainly not least, a great actress.
The site adds that production will begin in the U.K., across Europe and South America this January. The Marc Forster-directed film will again star Daniel Craig as 007.

Craig bleibt Bond

Bond 22 Villain Revealed?
Fox News' Roger Friedman is reporting that The Diving Bell and the Butterfly star Mathieu Amalric will play James Bond's villain in Bond 22 and that Leona Lewis may sing the new theme for the film. Here's a clip from the report:
Even though sources insist it's true, Amalric would neither confirm nor deny. Since his "Diving Bell" character communicates through blinking, we thought of asking him to do just that — one for yes, two for no — but thought better of it. Anyway, expect a formal announcement shortly. This is a done deal.
Daniel Craig will play 007 again in the 22nd installment.

Olga Kurylenko Lands Lead Bond Girl Role
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions Ltd, Sony Pictures Entertainment and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios announced today the start of principal photography on the eagerly anticipated 22nd James Bond adventure. Daniel Craig reprises his role as 007 in the film which is directed by Marc Forster and follows the success of Casino Royale, the latest and highest grossing film in the series.
Starring alongside Craig is an impressive international cast led by the critically acclaimed French actor Mathieu Amalric as the sinister villain, and the Ukranian actress Olga Kurylenko who plays 007's leading lady.
Returning to Bond 22 (working title) from Casino Royale are Judi Dench in her role as M, Jeffrey Wright as Felix Leiter and Giancarlo Giannini as Mathis. Newcomer to the Bond franchise, Gemma Arterton, will play the role of MI6 Agent Fields.
Commenting on the announcement, Wilson and Broccoli said, "We are fortunate to continue in the Bond tradition of attracting the finest international actors for our starring roles. Mathieu in the role of Dominic Greene, a leading member of the villainous organization introduced in 'Casino Royale,' will be a powerful counterpart to Daniel's portrayal of Bond. Olga Kurylenko will play the dangerously alluring Camille, who challenges Bond and helps him come to terms with the emotional consequences of Vesper's betrayal."
MGM and Sony Pictures will share distribution rights worldwide with Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Releasing International distributing the film to theaters worldwide on November 7th, 2008. Marc Forster directs the screenplay by Neal Purvis & Robert Wade and Paul Haggis. The unit includes Production Designer Dennis Gassner, Director of Photography Roberto Schaefer, Editors Matt Chesse and Rick Pearson, and 2nd Unit Director Dan Bradley.
Mathieu Amalric, one of France's leading screen stars, is best known for his roles as Jean-Dominique Bauby in Julian Schnabel's award-winning film, The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, and as the French information broker, Louis, in Steven Spielberg's Munich. Last year, he was awarded Best Actor at France's Cesar Awards for his role in the internationally acclaimed comedy Kings and Queen, directed by Arnaud Desplechin. Previously, Amalric won the Cesar for Most Promising Actor for his role in Desplechin's My Sex Life.
Amalric began his career as an actor in 1984, appearing in Otar Losseliani's Les favoris de la lune, and went on to serve as an assistant director to Louis Malle on Au Revoir Les Enfants. As an actor, he has since worked with many leading directors including Andre Techine, Olivier Assayas, Jean-Claude Biette and the Larrieu Brothers. His latest films include Desplechin's Un conte de Noel, Claude Miller's Un Secret, Nicolas Klotz's Heart Beat Detector, Valeria Bruni Tedeschi's Actrices and Vincent Dieutre's Fragments sur le grace. He also appeared in Sofia Coppola's Marie Antoinette. Amalric has written and directed a number of films including Wimbledon Stage and, most recently, the documentary short Let Them Grow Up Here. This year, he directs Tournee, about American burlesque girls on tour in France.
Olga Kurylenko recently co-starred opposite Timothy Olyphant in Hitman and opposite Elijah Wood in Paris, je t'aime. She also appeared in starring roles in Eric Barbier's thriller The Serpent and Diane Bertrand's The Ring Finger, for which she received the Best Actress award at The Brooklyn International Film Festival in 2006. She recently had a role in Tyranny, directed by John Beck Hofman.
On French television, multi-lingual Kurylenko appeared in the mini-series "Suspectes" and the drama "The Good Luck Charm."
In her career as a top European model, Kurylenko has appeared in numerous advertising campaigns, including Kenzo, Helena Rubenstein and Just Cavalli. Her magazine covers include US Glamour, French Elle, Madame Figaro and Marie Claire.
Gemma Arterton graduated from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts (RADA) and made her film debut with Dame Maggie Smith and David Walliams in Stephen Poliakoff's "Capturing Mary" for BBC Films. She currently stars in the hit British comedy St. Trinian's. Arterton recently made her professional stage debut as Rosalind in "Love's Labour's Lost" at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
