It seems that some of the rumored names of Robert Rodriguez's new film have been cast after all. According to Variety, Rodriguez's Machete started production this week and the full cast has been announced. Aside from Danny Trejo, who will play Machete, the film also stars Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Michelle Rodriguez, Steven Seagal, Lindsay Lohan, Cheech Marin. Don Johnson and Jeff Fahey will have supporting roles in the film as well. Rodriguez is directing with his protege Ethan Maniquis.

Ich hatte bis jetzt noch gar nichts davon gehört, und
die paar Zeilen sind ja auch nicht grad sehr vielsagend. |

Machete is a film by Robert Rodriguez. It is an expansion of a fake trailer Rodriguez directed for the 2007 film Grindhouse. It will star Danny Trejo (in his first lead role) as the title character. Although originally announced to be released direct-to-DVD as an extra on the Planet Terror DVD, the film is now being produced as a theatrical release. The film is scheduled to start shooting in July 2009.

The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Marin) his "holy" brother, and April (Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. Also, den Trailer finde ich ja jetzt nicht grad Umwerfend, aber der
Film hört sich trotzdem ziemlich innterressant an. Mal abwarten.  |

Das ist wohl der größte Fehler den Sie gemacht hat in dem Film mit zuspielen. Ist ja sowas von schrecklich, der Film zählt wohl zu den C-Movie`s werd ihn mir sicher nicht anschaun, boah schrecklich |

C-Movies? Dafür ist das Cast ein bisschen zu teuer würd ich mal sagen!
Und ich denke das wird ein Film in typischer Rodriguezmanie sein wird! Also einfach ein cooler Independent Action Film! |

Genauso ist es!!!
Die Art von Rodriguez und Tarantino ist einmalig. Die Zwei machen fast nur überragende Filme.
Was soll das eigentlich für ein Trailer sein, wenn sie erst im Juli 2009 angefangen haben zu drehen? |

Sie sieht mal wieder klasse aus.
Aber ich denke schon das es eine Perücke ist (aber die Haarfarbe steht ihr definitiv besser^^), außerdem dreht sie ja glaube auch noch Valentine’s Day.
Der Trailer, den über den Film gesehen habe ist schon ein bisschen komisch.
Mal guckenwie er am ende wird, ins Kino werde ich dafür wohl eher nicht gehen (aber so wie ich deustchland kenne kommt der hier evtl. eh nicht) |
