Here in the U.S., "American Wedding" took the #1 position at the box office but overseas "Terminator 3" is taking a huge piece of the international pie!

"Terminator 3" has now officially crossed the 140 (U.S.) million mark - an incredible feat for an R rated film! But it will rake in the biggest chunk of cash overseas as it's expected to make around 400 + million worldwide.

"Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines" opened in the UK just this last weekend and the numbers are already enough to pop your CPU and make your endo skull spin! Go Arnold!

Arnold fan Darren sends us the latest box office numbers!

Darren:

Here you go mates,

Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines dominated the international markets over the weekend as it maintained its perfect record of opening number one in every territory and added an estimated $40m for a $141m international running total.

The weekend haul, which includes Japan and Korea where T3 is not being released by Columbia TriStar Film Distributors International (CTFDI), came from 5,800 prints and sparked another chain of notable openings.

In the UK the sci-fi sequel grossed a mighty $9.6m (including Thursday night late shows).

Germany produced $7.7m from 1,062 for the second biggest opening of the year there.

In Spain on 581 prints T3 grossed $5.7m including previews for the sixth biggest opening of all time.

CTFDI took the unusual step of releasing it on a Wednesday in Spain to capitalise on the summer holidays and steal a march on Buena Vista International's Pirates Of The Caribbean, which is scheduled to open there in two weeks.

Brazil produced $1.7m from 483 for the sixth biggest opening there, while $1.2m from 109 in Sweden was the 10th biggest bow and $1.1m from 113 in Austria produced the 13th biggest ever opening.

Finland, South Africa and Israel all scored number one openings while T3 remained number one in Australia and New Zealand for the third consecutive week.

Additional information:

CTFDI (Columbia TriStar Film Distributors International) opened T3 on approximately 1,000 prints in the UK on Aug 1, where it is expected to perform strongly given that school holidays are in force and weather forecasts predict a warm, partly cloudy weekend across most parts of the UK.

By comparison Terminator 2: Judgment Day grossed $4.5m on 302 prints when it opened in the UK in Aug 1991.

The film has already got off to a roaring start on its first day in Spain, where it was released by CFTDI on 599 screens on July 30 and grossed $1.05m (Euros 912,000).

CTFDI released the film on approximately 1,070 prints in Germany on July 31. The film also opens in Finland and Sweden over the weekend.

T2 opened on $6.3m on 474 prints in Germany in Oct 1991 and took $2.9m on 150 in Spain when it opened two months later.

T3 debuted in several smaller European markets last weekend. There were also debuts in several Asian markets.

Before we tell you about some additional info for the Terminator 3 DVD, we want to be sure you all get the chance to head to the bookstore for a couple of new magazines. Peek inside Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver's home life as the pair prepares for his run for governor of California in this week's PEOPLE magazine. Also pick up the new Cigar Aficionado magazine with a BIG Arnold interview.

Now the DVD (Region 1):
As reported earlier, the region 1 "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines" is set for that November 11th release date and it will be a loaded two-disc DVD.

We'll get that Schwarzenegger-recorded commentary for the DVD along with a commentary by director Jonathan Mostow, new footage, an on-set gag reel, four visual effects labs that allow viewers to build their own action scene, the HBO "First Look" featurette, a SkyNet personnel/weapons database, storyboards and a costume/production design gallery.

While talking to someone close to the DVD production, TheArnoldFans learned they may not call this first version the "Special Edition" although there will be enough material where you'd think for sure it was one. They may come out with a super Special Edition a year later with twice the goods. This was still being discussed and no plans were set. The last we heard, There was "no fate."

DVD (Region 4):
Columbia have confirmed a release date of December 3rd for the R4 edition of Terminator 3 Rise of the Machines as well as a few early details. With the p romise of an anamorphically enhanced widescreen transfer and Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, the extras will include : a cast and crew commentary, 3 separate featurettes on the making of the film, the much-discussed 'deleted scenes', a blooper-reel and more to be announced. RRP is expected to be around the $45 mark, perhaps hinting at this being a single-disc edition. More details will be confirmed when we have official confirmation of the specs.

thearnoldfans.com wrote:
EXCLUSIVE: BELTRAMI "T3" INTERVIEW!
Will Beltrami be back for "Terminator 4"?
Reported By: Randy Jennings
Wednesday, August 20, 2003

TheArnoldFans.com spoke with Marco Beltrami, the man behind the "Rise of the Machines" soundtrack and he was happy to give us the exclusive to why he was chosen and what he thinks of Brad Fiedel. Over the past several months, I've encountered a huge shift of fan acceptance of Beltrami’s work. At first I've heard nothing but complaints since the original Terminator composer, Brad Fiedel, was not on board with this film. Many stubborn fans were saying if Fiedel did not come back, they would accept NO ONE. Because Marco was nearly typecast only for his earlier horror genre fame, the fans were ready to close the doors on this new composer and never give him a fair chance.

TheArnoldFans: We loved what you did with T3 but we are curious if you know why Brad Fiedel was not asked back? Or was he asked but then turned it down?

Marco Beltrami I don’t THINK so. That would be a question for Jonathan Mostow. All I know is they temped the old scores of mine and it seamed to work well so Jonathan really pushed to have me on the project. I liked what Brad did in the first two Terminator films. He has a strong theme and I like the way he had a mechanical sound: non-orchestral, but I thought it worked well. So it’s not like I had anything against that (his style) it’s just that this movie was different – we were trying something new with it. I actually TRIED to work his theme into the movie with the director and producers and we tried it in a few places and on quite a few occasions but the thing was – was that is seamed that strong T2 theme seamed to take the audience out of this movie and transport them right back into T2 land and the director was dead set against that. If it was UP TO ME, I would have somehow wanted to pay homage to the original... so we put it at the end credits. I did an orchestrated version of the old theme.

TheArnoldFans: Did you know Mostow earlier or did he call you up and seek you out?

Marco No, the first I heard about it was he (Mostow) called up and said “I’d like to have a meeting with you. I’ve heard your music on this temp and I want to see.” Then I met with him and he said “well, you know, it’s going to be very political... everyone wants to do this movie like Zimmer, Danny Elfman and all these people” and I didn’t really have any expectations that I’d be chosen but Mostow pushed for me and that’s how it worked out.

TheArnoldFans: Did you also do the score for the additional footage that was shot for the video game?

Marco Well, not that you’ll see with it (the game). I wrote a piece because we weren’t sure at the time if it was going to be in the movie but then when we were in the scoring session, they said it was NOT going to be in the movie and we never ended up recording it.

TheArnoldFans: Can you describe some scenes that you orchestrated but were cut from the movie? We know of the one scene where Arnold, as Sergeant Candy, gives the Terminator his likeness. Maybe you saw this scene or others?

Marco: The only scene I know of is the Sgt. Candy one. Of course parts of scenes were edited down throughout the process, but I can’t think of another complete scene.

These days the tides have turned and TheArnoldFans has received dozens and dozens of emails of new Marco fans who feel this soundtrack is by far the best of the three. Unfortunately there are still a small handful of Marco bashers and MOST of them dismiss his talent out of ridiculous loyalty to Brad Fiedel. These are some hard-core Terminator fans who are AFRAID of change and they shut their eyes and ears to anything new. Shame on your acts of such "low forehead-ism"!

To the more open-minded Terminator fans, who can sit back and give the soundtrack an unbiased review, we salute you. I know it is hard to except that there is no T2 theme song to open the credits to T3 - but if we can get passed that, it is obvious Marco has raised the bar.

TheArnoldFans: Are you a Terminator fan? How badly did you want to do T3?

Marco: Yes, I loved the first two movies so I was totally psyched... That’s why I didn’t want to get too excited about it. Because I’m such a huge fan of the Terminator movies.

TheArnoldFans: Favorite Arnold movie?

Marco: The Terminator!

The staff of TheArnoldFans also feels Marco Beltrami's T3 score is THE BEST Terminator soundtrack. T1 was excellent for the heart pounding rhythms but has become a bit dated now with so much '80's synthesizers. The Score for T2 was improved upon greatly. Here we were given the greatest intro theme song EVER (Sorry Marco) and we also got one or two other nice tracks. However, most of T2's soundtrack is filler. They work great on screen but as individual songs to listen to on our headsets, they don't exactly give you "the pump." In other words, it's for Terminator fans... but it's not a soundtrack for music appreciation scholars.

Finally, T3 comes out and Marco delivers a COMPLETE score without filler. This is a masterful soundtrack with such wide ranges of intensity, emotion and talent. Listen to this CD and you'll feel like a "choir boy" when crying your eye's out to the tear-jerkers but then you'll "be back" for the epic action themes! Every single track is a winner and we at TAFs are damn proud to have such a talented man contribute.

TheArnoldFans: Have you heard what Brad Fiedel thinks of your score?

Marco No. I don’t know, I hope there’s not bad feelings about it - but no, I haven’t spoken to him. I’ve never met him. Jonathan is extremely complementary. From what I understand, Arnold likes it too but I’ve never spoken to him about it myself.

TheArnoldFans: Was Mostow sitting down with you? How involved was he?

Marco He was pretty involved. He’d come over to my studio once or twice a week and I’d play him some stuff I was working on and he’d have a lot to say and we’d try new things. He’d say, “This scene needs some emotional support so you might want to try this from John Connor’s perspective rather than play it as an action scene” and so on.

TheArnoldFans: What’s next?

Marco: The next movie is directed by Guillermo del Toro called Hellboy. It looks real good. They just started sending some footage over and it will be a big Summer release for next year.

TheArnoldFans: What about T4, if they ask you to come back and we hope they do?

Marco: I’d love to. I’m not sure if Jonathan is directing it but if he is, I’d imagine I’d probably be doing it.”

There you have it music fans! Personally, I don't really know the exact reason why Brad Fiedel was not asked to come back but I’m certainly NOT complaining. TheArnoldFans.com is extremely happy with Mostow’s pick! Bring on the talent for T4: Stan, Mostow, Arnold, Nick, Claire, Patrick, Loken, the T-One Million and MARCO!

Dies hier ist eine Auflistung der Deleted Scenes aus T3. Diese Liste muss nicht korrekt und/oder komplett sein!

TheStorm wrote:
First I have been studying this since day one after it came out, and I have been watching T3 since December 2001 obsessivley. So I hope Chasz can come in and help me on some of these article findings, but when I get a chance I will find the articles where I got these. *most can trust me, most know I'm not a liar.*

Now I am not 100% on all of them but here are missing scenes from T3.

-Future war:

What Happend: From what we have gathered it showed more of the life of the future soldiers, them trying to find the missing squad at the NORAD base in Colorado where Skynet resides in the future. There they find a huge junk yard filled with obsolete designs: T-1's, T-600's, 800's, and even T-1000's. And the T-X kills the rest of that squad. John/Kate send the T-850 back through time.

Sources of this: The book/ILM talked about not getting to do some more futuristic scenes. Stan talking about how we would get to see a huge battle, and many Terminator's that we've never seen before. As well as back in the 2002 day's some one talking about them spending quite a lot of time filming the Future War stuff. Pictures of this are actually in the official magazine volume 2 page 14. Shows soldiers running from a huge flying H-K. So this scene I'm sure was filmed. Also some people from Korea I think said they saw a making thing on T3, and that it showed a naked Arnold walking towards a blue screen. (TDE).

Why was it cut: Most likley ILM had not enough time. Also some one said that WB did not like it being so futuristic. Most likley from art we did get to see Skynet's core.

-Alternate Opening.

What happend: I remember hearing that the intro started out like the Teaser Site for T3. Remember? The satalites scanning the city looking for people...(John.) And we can tell this by the music called T3 which of course was suppose to be an opening music as you can tell but was shot down.

Sources: T3 Soundtrack.

Why was it cut: Who knows, yet again I think deadline had a lot to do with it, and they needed a different opening since their future war scene would not be there.

-Extened John's life

What happend: From the Comic Con there was a lot more that John said, and from what I've gathered did. In the book there was a partial suicide attempt. Also the music of JC's theme was never used, and it was suppose to be used more heavily in these scenes I think.

Sources: Book/heard about it/Comic Con/T3 soundtrack.

Why was it cut: Who knows, I think editors got happy with this and did not want more of John.

-Extened T-X arrival

What happend: It showed more of the lady getting mad at the ATM machine not working. And then the cop/T-X had a lot more dialouge. Also the number 3 song called Blonde behind a wheel was never used in the movie.

Sources: Book, T3 soundtrack.

Why was it cut: I think just due to pacing perhaps.

-Extended T-850 Arrival

What happend: From what Arnie descibed earlier in the year he grabbed the bouncer and through him across the parking lot. And from the Comic Con lots said he threw a lot of people around. I also think there was more of the stripper and him getting beat up, its just Terminator style.

Sources: Rumors/Arnold/Comic-Con

Why was it cut: I think that WB felt gay's would feel offended...I don't know why though. I don't feel bad when a strait guy gets his ass beat in a movie.

-Extened T-X killings

What happend: From the book and some pictures of the T-X she came in and killed Liz Anderson as she was playing in her room, and also showed her break into the Anderson's house.

Sources: Book/Comic Book/pics

Why was it cut: Probably WB thought it was too violent *stupid I know* about the T-X killing kids.

-The Call

What happend: In the book Scott got a call from the T-X after Kate left to the vet clinic asking where she was and Scott got upset and said.."I'll tell you the same thing I told the German guy, she's at the vet clinic." Showing that the T-850 found Kate by calling her house.

Sources: Book

Why it was cut: Yet again I'm stumped on why, I don't know why any were cut.

-Extened T-X Vet clinic killing

What happend: There are some shots of the T-X pointing a gun at the Vet Clinic which is believed to be a showing of that cat ladies death.

Sources: Pictures

Why it was cut: Too violent.

-T-850 grabbing gun

What happend: It just has the T-850 grabbing the shotgun out of the blue truck.

Sources: Confirmed its in the Theatrical Trailer.

Why it was cut: Don't know, they should not of done it.

-I need to go.

What happend: When the T-850 got up he told the parametics he had to go. I also belive from pictures there was another way that the T-850 got his bike, he may of talked to the cop saying something the T-1000 did smile

Sources: Book/Pics

Why cut: Unknown yet again.

-Extened Crane Chase

What happend: Don't really know the details the book was a lot longer version of it more happend to the T-850 swinging on it. You can easily tell lots was cut due to the editing.

Sources: Book/Common Sense

Why was it cut: Maybe they thought it was too long.

-Extened talks John and the T-850

What happend: A very interesting thing from the book, a lot more was talked about how the T-850 was upgraded, and why JD was going to happen no matter what, a lot of explanation on this really cool stuff.

Sources: Book

Why cut: Heh WB must not like details in the story.

-The T-850 shops

What happend: There was the T-850 getting his sunglasses on.

Sources: Confirmed: BBCi footage from December

Why Cut: To make the movie shorter...

-Kate and John talk.

What happend: In the Tundra Kate/John had more words, from the book you could tell this there was much more dialouge. Possibley the lines from the Domestic Trailer

Sources: Book/Trailer

Why cut: Don't know.

-Alternate Graveyard shootout

What happend: Now most of this is just rumor but I remember back with Mostow long ago saying that this Termintor is not the non killing one from T2. And from making of's shots and some of the trailers I have a feeling the T-850 may of at least wounded some cops and it was longer.

Sources: My brain, from old interiews

-Extended Graveyard chase.

What happend: More of the T-X laying on the ground then getting up, also her running after them and John shooting her as she is close behind.

Sources: Book/pictures

Why cut: Grrr...don't know.

-The T-X flys.

What happned: After the T-X got up she used her electronics to act like she was some one on the radio to a helicopter pilot. Telling him to land, he lands and she kills him, then heads to CRS to get Brewster.

Sources: Book

Why Cut: To make it shorter.

-T-X arrives at CRS

What happned: The T-X gets officer Hastings alone kills her takes her uniform form, and walks off as well as killing a officer to get the gun.

Sources: Pictures/Book

-Motorhome

What happend: Just more extened talks about Brewster and CRS/Cyberdyne more explanation.

Sources: Book I belive

Why cut: Unknown.

-Outside the Motorhome

What happend: From sources I know and another person who was on the T3 forums who had been hearing the same stuff I had, I had heard that there was a slow scene that developed more of the Terminator/John/Kate and they were outside the Motorhome I believe and they just kind of reflected/talked like in T2. I believe this may be true due to some behind the scene footage from Access Hollywood showing Arnie outside of the motorhome on the highway and them getting ready to shoot. So I think there was something outside the motor home they discussed.

Sources: Some people I know/Acess Hollywood footage.

Why cut: Pacing I would believe.

-CRS Lab tour/Srg. Candy

What happend: This had a lot of Brewster and the showing of Skynet/all the Terminator's. It also showed extenesive research going on and the real man that the T-850 101's were modled after. Lots of explanation here especially on how Skynet survived.

Sources: Trailers/pics/Confirmed by Mostow himself.

Why cut: Who knows?

-The crew gets to CRS

What happend: It had the T-850 pull up and Kate explaining to the base guard who she was. And that her Uncle Tom "T-850" was driving them. They get in. Then they went the back way into the base and the T-850 does some T2 shooting of the knee caps to some guards.

Sources: Book

Why cut: maybe they felt it was too much like T2.

-Skynet malfunctions

What happened: From the trailer we hear: "All military systems have been affected." I believe that they showed more of Skynet's messing up, and taking control around the world. Showing the outcomes.

Sources: Book/Trailer

Why cut: Don't know.

-Brewster sees the Terminator

What happend: More talks of the T-850 talking to Brewster asking what Srg Candy was doing here. The T-850 said he was a terminator and he said: "I was made here."

Sources: Set report long ago/Book

Why cut: Unknown.

-Extened Bathroom fight

What happend: As you can tell from the cutting I think there may of been more of the T-X and the T-850 fighting in there from the set reports it said it had her using the T-850 as a battering ram against a granite wall. And we never see how they fall through the floors.

Sources: Common sense/book/set reports.

-John and Kate flee from the T-1

What happend: John and Kate after the bathroom thing you see them looking at a T-1 in the book it said in that room they sat by the fire and the T-1 was right there almost finding them. Then they took off.

Sources: Book

Why cut: Unknown.

-The machines rise

What happend: I believe that there was much more of the machines taking over the world and the T-1's killing the soldiers at the base. We can tell from that calander pictures.

Sources: Calander/book

-T-X gets out

What happend: From pics earlier we see her escaping the particle accelerator. So it does show her regain her strength and get out of there. And in the book the T-X walks by the disabled T-850 seeing Kate and them take off, she gets in the helicopter.

Sources: Pics

Why cut: Unknown.

-T-850 gets copter

What happend: This I pieced together from old info and set reports. There was talk I think from Latino review that there was a part with a green screened Arnold walking across the hangar with T-1's shooting him up. I belive after re-booting he got shot up by the T-1's helping him look bad for the alternate end fight.

Sources: Set reports

Why Cut: SFX maybe took too long.

-Alternate End battle.

What happend: Well from old set-reports and interviews from many people there was talks about how ILM would use the T-X endo as CGI in some parts. As well as Arnold said the Tunnel chase at the end would be so suspensefull. Also look at Todd McFarlane's Doll of the end fight he is not as damaged at first. I belive that the original fight was much much longer and different. From the original Teaser Trailer it showed flashes of the T-X in darkness breathing. And I think originaly they took off deep into the moutain and the T-X follwed them Endo whole to kill them. Then an epic battle took place and the T-850 got more damaged as time went on. I really believe this was filmed.

Sources: Interviews with Paublo ILM guy/Stan/Arnold/Trailer shots

Why cut: Dead line I guess, ILM could not finish such a big shot so quickly.

-Extened Judgement Day

What happend: This is just my belief that as they said lots of gore was taken out I think maybe they showed people screaming and dying this is more of just me I don't really think this may of been made.

Sources: I just had a gut feeling.

-Young Kate/John

What happened: A flash-back when they were in the Tundra to them as little kids in Mike's basement making out.

Sources: The Credits a while back had a Young John and the Actor who played him.

Why cut: Who knows.

What happend to these scenes?

1. Remember that site that news site that talked about how in T3 the T-850 was going to use a model of a real molecular gun in the movie. Wonder what happend with that.

2. Ross a good trusted friend had talked to a girl at the Tundra thing in LA who said she was in it. She was the girl showing off the Tundra and so forth at the show. And she said she had a part in the movie as a nurse who was helping wounded John and got her brains blown apart....vet clinic maybe? Extened?

Well that is as many as I can find for right now. But first I am not saying these are true, these are just scenes I belive that were cut from all the things I've seen/heard over the past 2 years. So hopefully we get these scenes.
